The chemistry course is divided into three sections, with each encompassing the relevant practical skills.
The chemistry course has a large practical element with a minimum of twelve required practical tasks throughout the two year course.
Chemistry can be combined with any other subjects but goes particularly well with physics, mathematics, biology and geography.
Sixth Form entry requirements and a grade 5 or above in GCSE mathematics, grade 5 or above in all three separate sciences or grade 6 in science trilogy.
Chemistry is the basis for a wide range of degree level subject including traditional chemistry based topics of medicine, dentistry, midwifery, veterinary courses, environmental science, natural science and forensics.
